Fall Fun with Kids on Nantucket

MadandChar

From Meg Ruley: If you find yourself on Nantucket this October, there are a lot of great activities to do with your kids (of all ages!) These are some favorites of my daughters, Madeleine and Charlotte age 7. (And a very Happy Birthday to Madeleine and Charlotte!)

Maritime Festival October 1 – 10:00am-4:00pm at Children’s Beach. Games, boat races, shucking contests, live music, face painting and art projects. For more information visit Egan Maritime Institute

Cranberry Festival October 8 – 11:00am-4:00pm at Windswept Bogs. Enjoy the day walking through Conservation properties, take a hay ride, kids games, live music, sheep shearing and herding demonstrations, learn about how cranberries are harvested! Great food and fun. Check out Nantucket Conservation Foundation for more information.

Halloween Parade This is a great family friendly event. Wear your costume to Main Street and participate in the parade that begins around 5:00pm in front of the Pacific Club. Lots of candy and lots of really cool and amazing costumes.
