Because Nantucket is our home, we have a strong commitment to giving back to our community, whether by charitable donations or by volunteering our time. Atlantic East continues to support nonprofits by donating a percentage of each sale which is matched by the company at the end of the year.
Our company and agents have supported and donated funds to the Nantucket Food Pantry, Nantucket Film Festival, Nantucket Safe Harbor for Animals, Nantucket Community Sailing, Palliative Care of Nantucket, Nantucket Cottage Hospital, the Pops Concert, the Nantucket Athenaeum, Nantucket Community Music Center, Nantucket Dreamland, NCTV’s New Moon Fest, Nantucket Boosters Club, Nantucket Theatre Workshop, Dana Farber Cancer Center, Inky Toys for Tots, the Nantucket Lighthouse School, the Nantucket New School, Marla Ceeley Lamb Fund, Swim Across America, MUSACK, the Nantucket Conservation Foundation, the ‘Sconset Trust, the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club and the Nantucket Historical Association.
Other recent volunteer activities include: prepping and painting at the Habitat for Humanity duplex, chairing the Nantucket Historical Association’s Festival of Wreaths, Festival of Trees, the Annual MYAN Blooming Bids For Kids, volunteering at the Seconds Shop (proceeds from the Seconds Shop go directly to Fairwinds Counseling Center), co-chairing the annual Nantucket Daffodil Show, and helping with Art in Bloom, Nantucket Green Thumb Show, Nantucket Race Week, Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s Boston Pops concert, teaching Adult Swimming, and co-chairing and creating handmade gifts for the Lighthouse School Annual Yuletide Fair.
Our agents also currently serve on the following boards: the Nantucket Housing Authority (chair) and Affordable Housing Trust Fund (vice-chair), the Nantucket Land Trust (chair), the Nantucket Association of Real Estate Brokers Ex. Board (Past President and Community Outreach), Cape Cod Five Board (Corporator), the Town Association of the Nantucket Civic Association, Nantucket Community Television, Channel 18, MUSACK, the Nantucket Garden Club (Executive Board, Horticulture Chair & Publicity Chair), the Inky Santa Toy Drive, and the ‘Sconset Union Chapel.
