Refer to your lease for the check-in and out times at your rental home. Check-in time is generally 3:00 p.m. and Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
Upon Arrival to the Island
Your agent will inform you of the process for accessing your rental. They keys may be left at the house, there may be a key pad with a combo or, you may need to come to our office located at 82 Easton Street to pick up your keys, directions and helpful island information in your check-in packet.
Your Vacation Home
The home will be clean and ready for you at your designated arrival time. If there is a concern with the cleaning or any damage noted, please inform your agent immediately so that we can address any issues.
Telephone & Utilities
You will need to dial the area code (508) on all calls. If there is a long distance block on the house phone, kindly use your cell phone. Utilities are included in all short term rentals, unless otherwise noted on the lease.
Repairs & Maintenance
Please contact your rental agent and the caretaker if an appliance, plumbing, heating or cooling system fails to function properly. We will make every effort to have it repaired promptly. We appreciate you reporting any maintenance issues and we will have them addressed as soon as possible.
If you require additional cleaning services during your stay, please contact the house cleaner or your rental agent.
To help avoid extra cleaning charges at the end of your stay:
It is helpful if you wash, dry and fold any beach towels the night before youre departure. Please strip any beds that were used, put all the laundry in the laundry area, and start at least one load unless the house instructions specify differently. If you have time to do more it is much appreciated. Please empty the refrigerator, start the dishwasher, wipe down the counter tops in the kitchen and baths and vacuum up any sand that may have been tracked in during your stay. Lastly, please make sure all the windows are closed.
Nantucket is a recycling community. Please separate all glass, plastic & paper into the recycling containers and keep household waste in the other. Only clear bio-degradable bags are allowed. The pick-up service will not remove any garbage that is not properly bagged.
By 10:00 am on the day of your departure, your vacation home needs to be empty of your personal items, the trash taken out, and left in the condition in which you found it. Your rental agent will tell you what to do with the keys; they may want you to leave them at the house so they can pick them up when they check the house after your rental.
