What is a CMA?

The Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) is the method used by most real estate agents to help determine the listing price of a property.  It is an excellent guide for the agent and owner to assess the current competing listings and comparable sold listings to formulate a proper price.  CMAs can also be used for short sales, foreclosure/REO sales, negotiations and mediations depending on the state law.
