If you or your tenants have un-opened, non-perishable food items, it can be donated to the Food Pantry through Food Rescue Nantucket (FRN). This is a Nantucket Unitarian Meeting House Congregational initiative and they have 15 volunteers picking up the food around the island. Currently there are drop off boxes located at the Madaket Fire Station, 293 Madaket Road and another box on Crow’s Nest Way in Wauwinet. We will soon be a drop off location for FRN here at 82 Easton Street. FRN also collects fresh and packaged food from the markets, restaurants, farms and caterers and distributes these items through the Food Pantry and Food Rescue Nantucket’s distribution network.
