Some Things You May Not Know About Us

Heidi competed in her first half marathon in New Hampshire in April.  She has a degree in plant science and is a very skilled gardener.

Peter used to work at Fidelity Investments.  He is a talented photographer and won a national Judge’s Commendation award for his photograph in the Nantucket Garden Club Exhibition last summer.  Peter is also a great cook!  And he keeps promising to have us to dinner.

Mary was recognized last month as one of Nantucket’s “Bright Shining Lights” for her community service.  Mary became the grandmother of Rylee in 2009 and also became an Accredited American Daffodil Society Flower Show Judge.

Erikka has two Shiba Inus (Lily and Moxie) and a Chihuahua named Coco.  She is also a grandmother. One of the youngest you will ever meet!

Melinda was the poster girl for a Pfizer medical ad in the early 90’s for one of their anti-inflammatory drugs.  The ad ran in many publications, including Time, Newsweek, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.  Melinda and her husband Chris traveled to most northern part of the earth, above the arctic circle, twice, in the winter, to bring home their daughter Natasha.  Natasha in now 7 1/2  years old.

Lisa did the location scouting for Melinda’s shoot!  Lisa was the first girl to play Little League in the state of New Hampshire.  She is a certified personal fitness trainer and has always wanted to go hot air ballooning!

Penny is in her second year of playing the cello and she plays in the Community Orchestra.  She used to scallop for a living in the winters.  She also teaches real estate classes for first time home buyers.

Anne once skydived from 13,000 feet and would probably would do it again.  She has run 5 marathons; Chicago was her favorite and San Francisco was her least favorite.  She once attended the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) competition in Las Vegas.  She was the only attendee in a large brimmed straw hat and she actually enjoyed it!
