Because we live on Nantucket year-round we take seriously our commitment to our community. Many of us are involved in a variety of different ways with non-profits and the Town and County of Nantucket. Housing Nantucket is a local non-profit dedicated to helping house year round people in secure and stable living situations. They pioneered the Nantucket Housing Needs Covenant Program, offering ownership to middle-income islanders. They also own rental homes, many of which were relocated from other sites on-island instead of going into our landfill. Housing Nantucket recently gave a shout-out to Penny Dey for her work in the affordable housing community (along with the sheriff!)
