Nantucket Vacation Rentals


The Nantucket Board of Health held an emergency meeting on August 5th, in response to a recent spike in COVID cases on-island.  They voted unanimously to implement an island-wide MASK MANDATE at ALL indoor public settings, effective immediately.  People may remove their masks while seated at a table or a bar.

Violations of the order will be subject to a written warning for a first offense, $100 fine for a second offense, $200 for a third offense, and $300 for any subsequent offense.  The order will be enforced by members of the Nantucket Health Department, police, and fire departments.

Exemptions to the new mask order, based on CDC guidance, include children under the age of 2, along with anyone with a disability or that has trouble breathing, as well as performers, provided they are physically distanced
