So far Nantucket has been very fortunate to have had a low number of confirmed cases of coronavirus because people have been diligent about following directions from our hospital and Town leadership.  It is mandatory on Nantucket to wear a mask or face covering in public when unable to distance 6 feet from others.  We continue to follow safety protocols for the benefit of everyone. This wonderful antique home in the heart of town has been given many modern updates for the 2019 season by a former Ralph Lauren designer to make for an easy, comfortable and relaxing stay on the island. The main house has four to five bedrooms each with hardwood floors and Serena & Lily linens, and two full baths. The similarly-furnished guest cottage over the detached garage has an additional suite with a queen bed, kitchenette and full bath along with a private entrance. Both buildings have central air conditioning. Between the two is a lovely private yard with mature perennial beds, a spacious bluestone patio and outdoor dining area with a Weber grill and a Kinsley Bate teak table that seats eight. There is also a spacious, enclosed outdoor shower. The house is fully furnished with all-new linens and bath towels, glasses, and dishware plus all the accessories you need to enjoy your stay, from board games to beach chairs, sand toys and beach towels. The house and cottage have cable TV and high-speed WiFi, among other included utilities. Off street parking is located behind the property on Warren Street. Enter the property through the gated back yard with dining patio, into the family room with TV and french doors to patio. The family room opens to the kitchen with large farmhouse table, new appliances and newly painted cabinets. Off the kitchen is a full bath (shower) and formal living room. Off of the formal living room is a den with trundle bed and TV. At the front of the house you will find the formal dining room and a guest bedroom with twin beds. At the front of the house on the second floor is the master bedroom with king bed which opens to a central second floor sitting room with desk. At the back of the house on the second floor is the newly renovated bath all new fixtures and tile including a deep soaking tub, and two guest bedrooms with full sized beds. There is also a charming (but steep) back stairway that leads to the kitchen.
