Nantucket Real Estate and Atlantic East are pleased to announce they have made a business arrangement to join Nantucket Real Estate with Atlantic East as of the first of the year. “We have all had a strong year and think that joining the resources of the two companies will be good for our clients going forward” said co-owners Heidi Drew and Penny Dey of Atlantic East and Ken Beaugrand of Nantucket Real Estate.
Nantucket Real Estate was established in 1980 and Ken Beaugrand, Principal Broker, purchased the business from Joan and Curtis Barnes in 1996. In February of 2003, he acquired the business of Heard Real Estate which had been an island business for over 26 years. Ken is a past President of the Nantucket Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) and currently serves on the Board of the Nantucket Historical Association and Nantucket Preservation Trust. Atlantic East Real Estate was founded by Heidi Drew, ABR, RSPS and Penny Dey, GRI, ABRM in 2005. Heidi is the former Chairperson for the Nantucket Island Big Brother/Big Sister Program and a member of the Cape Cod Big Brother/Big Sisters Board. She is currently an Honorary Nantucket Board Member. She also serves on the Education Committee of NAREB. Penny is a Past President of NAREB, a former Director of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors, Habitat for Humanity, the Nantucket Planning & Economic Development Commission and Housing Nantucket. Each broker has decades of full time experience in the real estate business on Nantucket.
The office will be located at 5 North Water Street, the current location of Atlantic East and will be called Atlantic East/Nantucket Real Estate as of January 2011.
