A heads’ up to all travelers using the Steamship Authority during the full moon to expect possible delays. The full moon causes extra high tides and low tides which have been delaying the ferry in Hyannis. The Hyannis harbor channel has slowly filled in with sand making passage impossible during the extreme low tides. The permits and approvals have been received so the dredging can begin on June 21st and last through the 3rd of July. In the meantime, check the schedule.
