On Nantucket we have our own tradition on February 2nd. Instead of the furry little rodent our harbormaster opens a quahog to see if there will be 6 more weeks of winter. The direction that Quentin the quahog squirts determines our fate, weather-wise, for the next 6 weeks. Stay tuned to see what happens.
