The Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge has been closed to vehicles at Marker 3, The Galls, until further notice, due to hatching piping plovers, a threatened bird species.
Beach-goers are welcome to walk at the waters edge in the area. For more information, call the Trustees of Reservations Wauwwinet gatehouse at (508) 228-0006, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.
