A Few of Our Favorite Things

Here are a few of our favorite things about living on Nantucket:
Lisa:  Walking at Sanford Farm, surfing at Cisco, mountain biking in the moors, great dining options, clamming up harbor, fresh corn from Bartlett’s, picking blackberries and making jam.
Erikka:  Brownies from Walter’s, spending time on our boat, that the UPS man will stop me on the street to give me my package, ice cream from the Juice Bar and walking to look at the boats, a day at the beach with our dogs.
Peter:  The close knit community, mountain biking off road on the trails, the infusion of people from all over when summer begins who are happy to be on Nantucket, the Club Car and Cambridge Street, the south shore beaches.
Penny:  A walk at Squam Farm, biking on the Polpis Road bike path, dinner at le Languedoc, Quidnet, that there is a music school on Nantucket, Tuppancy for dog park and farm tomatoes.
Heidi: The wild life, the natural and creative landscapes, the protected open land, the beaches and great dining, that we do not have a bridge from the mainland.
Mary: Small town community where residents care for each other, appreciate and respect the natural beauty of the Island and its historic past, Island volunteerism for our non-profit organizations, open space for public enjoyment, south shore beaches, farm corn and tomatoes, steamers and lobsters.
Melinda:  How so many people will come out of the woodwork for someone in need, the courtesy shown at stop signs and intersections, sunsets over the Sound, the variety of interesting things we can do, all within a few minutes of our door step, that don’t cost any money.
