Like clockwork, the first week of May, the cherry trees bloom on South Water Street. Usually shortlived because inevitably a wind will come and blow the pink blossoms away (like today) – it is one of the mosty beautiful sights in Nantucket Town for the short time they are out. The new Dreamland Theatre can be seen at the left of the picture.
