Cleaning Out for a Cause!!

The Nantucket Cottage Hospital Thrift Shop is an institution that has, for more than 95 years, raised significant money for our hospital while being a great place to shop.  Their mission is to fund reserach, equipment and staff housing for the hospital and they raised $625,000 last year alone from the sale of gently used goods at the thrift shop.

They make it very easy to drop off donated items.  Right now, every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 -11:30, simply pull up your car in front of 17 India Street and some cheerful helpers will unload your stuff and bring it into the shop.  They also have a donation drop off every Tuesday morning in Sconset from 8-9 AM in the parking lot located across the street from the Casino and every Saturday from 8:30 – 10:00 AM at their storage pods adjacent to Gouin Village off of Vesper Lane.  You west enders, Thursday from 8:00 – 9:00 AM is Madaket day near Long Pond Road.  Click here for more details.  Not only is it super easy to donate goods but they will give you a receipt as well for tax preparation.

Nantucket has a long history of recycling – buildings, goods and services.  The Nantucket Cottage Hospital Thrift Shop is setting the standard for discerning shoppers seeking a quality bargain!  Be sure to stop by if you are on-island visiting.
