Construction on the long-awaited bike path to Cisco beagn about one week ago and is expected to be completed by mid-May 2013. An anonymous donor gave $500,000 tot he Town if the construction on the bike pathw as started this year.
The bike path is the final major one in the network of island-wide paths that run along most of the major arteries on Nantucket. The Hummock Pond Road path will run along the east side of the road from Milk Street to the Cisco beach parking lot.
