Town beach driving permits for 2012 are now available at the Nantucket Police Department at 4 Fairgrounds Road, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The permit fee is currently set at $50 for drivers with an island vehicle registration, and $100 for drivers with non-island vehicle registration.
After June 1, the rates rise to $100 and $150 respectively.
