If so, there is a process for filing for an abatement with the Town of Nantucket. The deadline of February 1, 2018 is fast approaching. It is incumbent upon the property owner and/or their representative to make a cogent and compelling case to the Board of Assessors for a reduction in the assessed value of the property.
