Heidi began working summers on the island in 1984 at a local garden center and like Penny, never left! After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Plant Science she started a small gardening business.
Needing something to do in the winter, she became a real estate agent and for the next 16 years worked at one of the most respected real estate offices on the island.
Heidi was the former Chairperson for the Nantucket Island Big Brother/Big Sister Program and a member of the Cape Cod Big Brother/Big Sisters Board. She is currently an Honorary Nantucket Board Member. She is also serves on the Education Committe of NAREB, the Nantucket Association of Real Estate Brokers. Heidi stays active within the community volunteering her time for various non-profit events.
Her passion is gardening. She is the recepient the Clarissa Willemsen Horticulture Propagation Award given by the Garden Club of America. Her other interests include travel, soap making, biking, running and skiing. To relax and re-charge you can find Heidi in her garden or at the beach at her island home on the West coast of Florida.
