Thankful on Nantucket

Aerial Sunrise over Nantucket IslandEspecially this week we are reminded of all that we are thankful for.  Here are just some of things (in no particular order) that we appreciate, living on Nantucket.

Best wishes to you and your loved ones for a Happy Thanksgiving holiday, wherever you may be.

  • Living on Nantucket where people look out for one another
  • Seasonal changes
  • Scallops and cranberries
  • Our health inspector for handling COVID so well
  • The Land Bank and Nantucket Conservation Foundation
  • Daffodils
  • In the off-season, everybody knows my name
  • The ferries
  • Fall weather
  • Beaches and the moors
  • Bike paths
  • Lighthouses
  • All of our non-profits that help the community
  • Cultural outlets like the library and the Nantucket Historical Association
  • The hospital
  • No skunks
  • For living in such a caring community
  • Downyflake doughnuts
  • The restaurants that stay open in the off-season
  • Local farms
  • Winter
  • Living in a small town that gives back
  • The privilege of silence….places to be alone, in quiet beauty
  • And the clean air and the delicious drinking water.  You notice when you go off island how pure both are.
