CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, is a program where the local farmer offers customers fresh-picked produce weekly. The customer purchases a “share” of the season’s harvest in advance. Essentially, the customer is buying a “share” of the produce and then the farmer provides the shareholder with farm fresh, locally grown produce for a certain period of time. A full share typically provides a week’s worth of vegetables for a family of four.
WIN a Bartlett’s Farm CSA Membership!
Sustainable Nantucket is raffling off tickets to a CSA membership at Bartlett’s Farm! The raffle winner will receive a 14 week membership in Bartlett’s Summer CSA running 6/1/12-8/31/12 (Retail value $630!). CSA members get a weekly pick up of farm fresh veggies at Bartlett’s Farm. Raffle tickets are $15 each, 3 for $35. All proceeds from this raffle will go towards SN Programs, outreach and initiatives.
