PROPERTY TAX BILLS: Nantucket tax bills will now be sent out only twice a year, starting in July. So the bills will be for the amount due quarterly but will be sent two bills at a time twice each year. The first quarter is due on August 1, the second quarter is due on November 1. The 3rd and 4th quarter bills will be mailed on December 31st. PLEASE NOTE: Personal and Residential Exemption Applications can only be filed within 3 months of the date the actual third quarter tax bill. So this means that NO abatement requests will be heard after February 1, 2013 for FY 2013.
